Staying at Hotel Luz was a first-time stay for me in the Metro Area. Although I have a home on the East side of the island,staying in the Metro center of San Juan made it easier for me and my 87 year old Mom to visit family and friends who were only minutes away from the Hotel. Meaning no rushing or driving back and forth from one town to another and saving on gas. I am also here on vacation from the states and wanted to visit Old San Juan. Hotel Luz was a cool , cozy and safe place to sleep at night after getting in from the beautiful capital of my enchanted and beautiful Puerto Rico. I stayed at a bunk bed room and had never even as a kid slept in and on the top of such a bed. It was ok going up to tuck myself in. Coming down and trying to get on the floor with the use of the small ladder was a bit tricky. My one and only suggestion to the administrator(s) is to make sure that the room is spotless for when a new client walks into the room that they will use. I found that the room was a bit dusty and under the bed we found tissues and a dusty floor after reaching under it for something I dropped. So spike up the cleaning and the rest is fine. I will use Hotel Luz in the near future again and remind myself that the room I rent must have a normal and or regular bed. No bunk beds for me again. Administrator, maybe having a good coffee machine in the small lobby up and working would be, a great service for guests who need a good cup before heading out for breakfast in the morning. It's great to find a hidden little treasure as this small place in the heart of San Juan perfect for my need of visiting and staying close by in the Metro area.
